Here we go again..

Another of those NY Times lifestyle pieces which talks about how 'women in elite colleges set career path to motherhood'. How many times will they print the same thing over and over again?

Anyways, get ready for the fun to begin in all your usual progressive messageboards and op-eds. Will link to them when they become available!

Hmmm...I don't know - I thought it was fairly amusing - specially the bits where they're trying to pretend that this is reason for some big debate about the nature of education (I mean, hello, a) there's no way you can legislate this and b) there's absolutely no reason to) - so the whole article pretends to be some sort of critical thoughtpiece when actually it's just gratuitious gossip to make for interesting lunch room conversation.

Also, it's interesting how the article assumes that deciding you want to stay home and have kids is coming to terms with the harsh realities of the world, rather than a legitimate choice that people may want to make. So women don't have different utility functions, they're just more realistic. Talk about bias.

Neela and Falstaff: Agree. It was so yucky that it was amusing! :)
